The balls that work best with Pascal Box are the highest quality balls.
The only balls that do not work well are balls that have very dense rubber. And these are usually the ones that are advertised as training or high durability.
This is because the normal balls we use for play get their performance from the combined work derived from the elasticity of the rubber and the internal pressure.
Normal quality balls have a rubber with a certain density and elasticity and a high internal pressure (approximately like a car tire).
Training balls have a much denser and harder rubber because it gets its performance, its rebound, in the rubber and not in the internal pressure. That is why they last longer, because the rebound does not depend on the pressure but on the rubber, but of course, this makes them harder, heavier and less tactile for the player...that is why they are for training and are not used in matches and never in championships.
In short, any quality ball, designed for the game, of whatever make and model, will work perfectly with Pascal Box.
The training balls, with a denser rubber (does not allow air to pass through) are not suitable.
Now you can invest in your favourite ball regardless of the cost because you will get the most out of it throughout its real life.

-In order for a ball inflation system (also called ball pressurizer) to work properly, two conditions must be met:

To be able to develop sufficient pressure so that the air can pass through the rubber of the ball to inflate the balls (to give you an idea, this is approximately the same pressure as in car tyres).

It must be a 100% airtight system. Otherwise the air would escape and would not get inside the balls, it would not inflate them.

-The Pascal Box systems can generate a pressure of up to 48 PSI which is more than enough to inflate the balls and to do so carefully and without altering the structure of the ball in any way.

-And the most important thing, the pressure gauge is the signal device that tells you at all times that the system is airtight (no leaks and stable pressure) and that it is at the required pressure level.

-Without an accurate pressure measurement system, such as our unique and patented pressure gauge, which tells you at all times that the pressure is stable and at the right level, it is simply impossible to know if the system is working or if it is not doing anything at all.

Pascal Box can recover any quality ball (see point on balls and rubber density) that is in good condition regardless of its age.
In order to inflate a ball, it is essential that the rubber does not have any cracks through which the air can escape (even if we introduce air into the ball, it would escape quickly).
The ball is flattened when we hit it (video of racquet hitting and ball flattening) causing it to expel the compressed air inside and thus losing its internal pressure and rebound. If the ball does not have the proper pressure it will not resist or recover from the blows causing these cracks in the rubber. The ball can no longer recover.
That is why it is important to always have the balls with the right pressure. If you inflate them and keep them at the correct pressure, they can last more than 50 games.
So our recommendation is that you invest in the best quality balls and inflate them with the Pascal Box from day one. This way we guarantee that you will get the most out of them throughout their useful life.
Perfect bounce, every time.

If the balls are new (one or two games in a few days) 6-8 at night is enough.
Some players take the Pascal Box with them in their racquet bag and others inflate them when they get home at the end of the day. If you inflate them at night, they will be perfect the next morning.
If they have lost a lot of pressure then they will need more time (but remember that they have to have the rubber in good condition...see the complete use guide), it will depend on their state of pressure.

Your Pascal Box comes with a tool cap that has two main and one secondary function.

The first and most important is that of a tool for screwing in the valve core (the inner spout) of the inflation valve. With use, when you press the valve core to remove the air, it can unscrew causing an air leak.
If you have a leak from the valve you can tell by the sound or by putting in a little water and seeing if bubbles come out.
Use the tool cap as a screwdriver to screw the core back in to eliminate the air leak.

The second one is as a valve cap.

And the secondary function is to use the tip of the tool cap to press the valve core to empty the Pascal Box of air.
Due to the characteristics of the valves and the tool cap, you may have to tilt the cap a little bit to be able to reach the valve core and press it (if you put it directly in vertical position it may not be enough to reach the valve core). You can also use any other element to get the air out.

The tool cap is designed to screw in the valve core and protect the valve, not to remove the air (although it can also be used for this purpose).

This occurs for two main reasons:
1. The gasket was not lubricated: It is important to always keep the gasket clean and lubricated with ordinary solid petroleum jelly. Lubrication is especially important in the first few weeks. Check these instructions and video on how to clean and lubricate the gasket of your Pascal Box.
2. Over-tightening: To achieve a tight seal, it is not necessary to over-tighten the lid. When closing the Pascal Box, when you feel the lid touching the glass, turn the lid about 1.5cm. Check these instructions and video on how to close the lid properly. "Watch video
Now let's see how to open your Pascal Box. There are 4 different methods:
1. using the easy-open system. On the lid of your Pascal Box you will see 2 slots. (picture). Use the gate of the paddle court as shown in this video. IMPORTANT: Do not forget to push against the railing at the same time as you spin the Pascal Box holding the Pascal Box by the butt of the cup to develop the maximum spinning force. If you do not push well against the gate, you may break the lid and then it will have to be replaced.
2. It is the same as the previous one, but using the metal profile you have at hand (a door, a gate, a window, etc ... be careful not to do it with painted surfaces as it can jump the paint) as in the photo and video. Watch video
IMPORTANT: Do not forget to push against the gate at the same time that you make the turn by holding the Pascal Box by the butt of the glass to develop the maximum turning force. If you do not push well against the gate, you may break the lid and then it will have to be replaced.
3. Seek the help of another person. While one person holds the lid of the Pascal Box tightly with both hands (without turning it, just hold it as tight as you can), the other person holds the glass by the butt and performs the twist to open it. Take a look at this video.
4. In the last case, if you have not managed to open it, we will have to resort to a dam that fixes the lid completely and we open it by turning the glass always holding it by the bottom.

If this happens, it means that your Pascal Box has suffered major damage due to a strong blow or that the thread of the lid or the glass had dirt, grains of sand from the track, and when closing it has broken and has jumped part of the thread of the glass.
Check the Pascal Box cup and its thread for cracks or breaks.

If the pressure gauge does not show a zero value when the system has no pressure, it means that it is out of calibration.
And this only happens if it has received a sharp blow that has caused the needle to jump.
Normally it does not affect the operation beyond the displacement of the scale. This means that the new zero pressure level is where the indicator has been left.

This is totally normal. The pressure gauge indicator may drop a couple of millimeters for a couple of reasons:
1. If the temperature has dropped and therefore the air inside the Pascal Box is compressed indicating lower pressure.
2. If you have introduced balls that had already been in the box for a couple of games or three and, therefore, had already lost a significant amount of air and internal pressure. The balls, on regaining pressure have received a significant amount of air from inside the Pascal Box and consequently the indicator shows this in the form of pressure reduction. So much air has passed from inside the Pascal Box to the inside of the ball that the pressure gauge shows it dropping those two millimeters.

Although the container is made of high resistance polycarbonate, if it receives a bad hit it may break.

In 99% of the cases you will not need to make these checks since the incidences are solved with a good maintenance, a proper sealing and checking that the inflation valve spout is well tightened.
